About Amicii:

Amicii Dog Rescue UK is a registered charity (1169157). We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs from the UK and mainland Europe, mainly from Spain and Romania.

Our mission is to help dogs, no matter what their background or origin, provide them with a safe, warm, and loving environment to recover from trauma and bad experiences, and ultimately to find the best homes we can for them to live out their days.

We have helped rehome many UK born dogs over the past 5 years and we have worked with partner organisations like Senior Staffies, Birmingham Dogs Home and others to help UK dogs find a loving forever home. We have a long-term relationship with a rescue in Romania which runs a shelter for 300 dogs, and we have successfully rehomed dogs from there since 2014. We also work with several rescues in Spain. We also have a small sanctuary where several dogs will stay with us for the rest of their lives. These dogs are either too traumatised or too challenging to be safely rehomed in a domestic environment.

The activities and enrichment we provide for our sanctuary dogs is a key part of our ongoing work. Amicii Dog Rescue is run by a dedicated team of volunteers in the UK. We have a small team of Ann Davies and Pat Mordin who provide support to the shelter in Romania. The other volunteers help support our work here in the UK including rehoming, fundraising, awareness raising and public events. We have a robust rescue back up system in place for all our adopters and provide life-long behavioural support for our dogs and their families.

Volunteer

We organize regular working trips to the Amicii Rescue in Romania, where volunteers help with everything from bathing and walking the dogs, cuddling them and trust building with the more frightened dogs, cleaning the pens, maintenance work and more. Fundraising

There are lots of different ways you can help to fundraise for Amicii Dog Rescue. Some of the team have taken part in official charity walks, bike rides, car boot sales, runs and challenges to raise vital funds for the dogs. The possibilites are endless and every penny goes towards helping our Amicii dogs.

We would be thrilled if you would like to help raise money for the dog. Remember, it doesn’t matter how small your fundraiser is, every penny counts.
